It's that time of the year again when Living Waters Asia goes to another Philippine province to deliver the Good News. You all know about LWA's GOSPEL BUZZ. Well, we're doing it again!
From October 20-25, we will be at Naga City, in the Bicol region to have the Buzz! This city is one of the many highly Roman Catholic regions of the Philippines. Filipino Catholics yearly troop to this city for the Peñafrancia Festival in honor of the Lady of Peñafrancia, a wooden statue of the Virgin Mary venerated here in Naga City.
We will be in the streets of this city, from morning to evening in the said dates to deliver the Gospel to people through Gospel tracts, one-to-one conversations and in open-air preaching sessions we will conduct. We have chosen team members for this trip who have proven themselves to love the Lord and having deep compassion for the unsaved, willing to do everything for the Gospel's sake.
We request everyone to pray for this outreach. And if you can, please financially support this. We have been doing this outreach for more than a decade now and God knows how many have received the Gospel through Gospel Buzz. We expect to spend about $2,500 to $3,000 for this trip which covers for the bus rental, accommodation expenses for the team, tracts, and many more. Your donation will help in a big way.
If God is moving you to help GOSPEL BUZZ 2019, you can send it via PayPal through this link: paypal.me/investforthegospel. If you want to arrange for another way to send your donation, send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are very happy to inform you that we are back from our outreach in Japan. We were there from June 20 to July 2, working along side churches and ministries with the goal of delivering the Gospel to people there.
We were mostly in the area of Misawa, in the Aomori prefecture. This area is where an American air base is situated. That is why we were able to be a part of the American Day celebrations last June 23. We gave out tracts to people, both to Japanese and Americans (and even Filipinos working at the base), and had several conversations about the Gospel with them. But the day before that, we were at an orphanage to not only share the Good News, but to also bring joy to the kids there. We sang songs with them, played games with them, and enjoyed eating lots of ice cream with the kids.
During the day time, our team was at the streets doing evangelism. We gave out tracts to people and engaged them in conversations whenever possible. We also did a lot of open-air preaching sessions in several venues in Misawa.
In the evenings, we were conducting Bible study with members of different churches. In these events, we spent time explaining what the Gospel message really is and how it can be effectively delivered to people.
We also visited two religious sites in Aomori. We went to what they call "The Tomb of Christ". People there have this legend that says Jesus' body is actually buried there. Supposedly, Jesus escaped his crucifixion and made his way to Aomori and lived there up to his death at an old age of 106. There's even a supposed last will and testament of Christ and it's displayed at the site's museum. We also visited the "Big Buddha" site. The place was enormous as well as the statue of Buddha. In both of these sites, the Living Waters Asia team members were interviewed and video recorded explaining why the Gospel made more sense than what these religions teach.
Then on June 29, we conducted the Living Waters Asia Institute at the Misawa Civic Center. There, we did a biblical evangelism workshop for Christians in the area. The following day, the sermon for the worship service at Calvary Baptist Church of Misawa came from the LWA director.
We thank all of you who prayed and gave for this outreach. We also would like to thank the pastors and churches that hosted us while we were there. But one thing we are sure of is that there should be more work of evangelism that must still be done in Japan. We have realized that most of the Japanese haven't even heard the name "Jesus" before, much more, the Gospel message. We hope to go there again and continue what we started doing in the "land of the rising sun" in this last outreach.

When summer in the Philippines kicks in, for Living Waters Asia that means summer evangelism opportunities!
We at LWA will always grab the opportunity to share the Gospel when most people are having breaks, either at work or at school. Like for kids, April and May in the Philippines are vacation time from school work. That's why we teamed up again with people from Banner of Truth Independent Baptist Church in conducting a vacation Bible school. We have been doing this for several years already in different sites in the province of Bulacan.
For this year's VBS, we did it at Barangay Bagong Nayon in Baliwag, Bulacan from April 22-26. We shared the Gospel to kids for the first four days then had their parents and older siblings listen to the Good News as well during the graduation program on the last day.
And just like in the past years, we made our presence felt during the Labor Day celebrations for this year. We drove all the way to Clark, Pampanga for this evangelism outreach. Armed with Gospel tracts, we delivered the Good News to people around the area, in jeepneys, business establishments, and even with people joining campaigns to help different politicians for the upcoming national and local elections this month. We also conversed about everyone's need for a Savior to people in a nearby park and public transportation terminal. We made sure to make people understand that no amount of labor on man's part can earn for him forgiveness of sin and eternal life in Heaven. Only the work of Christ at Calvary can provide man salvation.
We hope that other Christians and their churches will take advantage of the summer season here in the Philippines to heed the Great Commission. We still have a few weeks left. May God find all of us reaching people for Him.

The makers of a new pro-life movie called “7 Reasons” maintain that their film will change viewers’ votes on the subject of abortion–and actually demonstrate it. The 42-minute documentary shows those who are pro-abortion changing their minds in minutes, saying that they will now vote pro-life.
Award-winning filmmaker Ray Comfort says, “The movie really is a pro-choice politician’s nightmare. Like millions of others, I was horrified to hear liberals abandon their usual arguments about it not being a baby in the womb, etc., and freely admit that they just want to kill human beings out of convenience. I wanted to produce a film that would change people’s minds about this horrific practice, and ‘7 Reasons’ does just that.”
Comfort plans to release the film on YouTube on Mother’s Day weekend, through the Living Waters YouTube channel which has over 70,000,000 views. You can download an early copy of the video through our online store along with early bird bonuses.

Duterte Million Peso Tract (Regular size, in English)
Gospel message presented Way of the Master style written in English. This money tract has President Rodrigo Duterte of the Philippines as its face. Size is similar to Philippine paper bill.
Note: 1 qty. is equivalent to 1 pack of 100 pieces of this tract.
In preparation for the release, he is asking those who care about abortion to take a moment to watch two brief trailers and vote on which one they think is more effective.
“It’s the trailer that makes or breaks any movie. In our case, it has to stir enough interest to cause people to watch it when it’s on YouTube. So opinions about what works and what doesn’t really matter to us. We will market the best trailer in significant ways with the aim of changing minds and changing laws so that human life is protected. We are just asking those who care about the issue to say, ‘This one’ in the comment section of the one they like.”

Something big will happen at Japan this year!
Living Waters Asia will be in Misawa, Japan this June to do evangelism activities and conduct a training on biblical evangelism for Christians there.
On June 23, the yearly American Day at the US airbase there will take place. This is a much awaited event for those in Japan as this is one of the very few times the base is opened to the public. About 100,000 to 120,000 people are expected to be there as the event features fairs, sports activities and concerts by American performers. We will be there together with Calvary Chapel Misawa (www.calvarychapelmisawa.com) church members to deliver the Gospel to the visitors who will grace the event.
We also have the great privilege to preach the Gospel to Filipinos living and working in the area. Our partner church has scheduled this for us and this will happen on the 30th of June.
But what we are most excited about is the training on biblical evangelism that we will be conducting there which we expect to be joined by believers from different churches around Japan. This training is in preparation for the evangelism that our brethren in Japan hopes to be doing during the Japan 2020 Summer Olympics. We praise the Lord for the initiative of Calvary Chapel Misawa in organizing this event.
