We are so privileged to have been part of the recently concluded All Asian Creation Conference at Okinawa, Japan. From May 31 to June 2, attendees from all over Asia listened to speakers from the US, Australia and from different ministries in Asia. Hosting the event was Genesis Japan and the venue was Naha Baptist Church. A simultaneous children's creation conference was also held.
The director of Living Waters Asia, Dennis Mark Y. Aglosolos, represented the Philippine delegation along with others that came from the southern region of the country. We are so happy to have been given the opportunity to introduce to the delegates what the ministry of LWA is and what we do in two occasions during the conference. And we were blessed to meet Christians from other Asian regions that are already familiar with the ministry of Living Waters and are already using the biblical evangelism approach we promote.
But the best thing about our participation at AACC 2018 was the chance to deliver a talk highlighting the need to include the Law in our Gospel presentations in one of the break-out sessions during the three-day event. Dennis explained the result of a study he made about how the combining of the Law and creation science with our Gospel presentation could cause people to have a bigger intention to reflect later in the day the Good News that was presented to them, compared to when they are used separately in our Gospel-sharing. We are so happy with the feedback we got from Christians that attended the session we did. One attendee even asked us to do a demonstration of how we do a presentation using the Law. Another attendee commented that the talk was very powerful.
The following day after the conference, Sunday, like many other speakers of the conference, Dennis had the privilege of delivering the worship service sermon in a Japanese church. The LWA director spoke at Megumi Baptist Kyokai (Grace Baptist Church) which is headed by Rev. Kumoji Fujino. Dennis talked about the growing atheism in the world and how many people, despite believing in the existence of God, live life as if there is no God (practical atheism). One person who heard the message said that the sermon was "an eye-opener".
Our hearts are overflowing with joy by what God had allowed us to accomplish and learn at Okinawa. We pray that the results will be lasting, not only for us, but for the people that heard all the speakers during the conference and in church services the following day.
In a time where "thus saith the Lord" holds less authority in the eyes of people than "science declares", especially in the topic of origin, we Christians need to be more active in proving to everyone that the Bible can be trusted! Before the truth of an ever-existing God is removed in the minds of people, let us stand along the path of people asking, “ is there really a Creator?” and stop them on their tracks before it leads them to an eternity of sufferings.
This is the reason why Living Waters Asia has bought a license to screen to the public, GENESIS: Paradise Lost. It is a documentary using Hollywood quality animation about how the universe was created as the Bible declares. Christian scientists take turns in the movie in explaining why the Big Bang and the Theory of Evolution are false assumptions of origin. Living Waters' very own Ray Comfort also appears in the movie explaining the Gospel message.
The FREE screening will be for teachers and science major college students as we believe that if we are able to convince them of the truthfulness of the Genesis account and show them that what secular science is feeding the minds of people are mere fictional stories, they can be great agents of the biblical worldview of origin to others. The screening will be held at Redbucks Cafe & Resto at Baliwag, Bulacan (in front of SM City Baliwag) on July 28, 2018. The slots for the screening are limited, so you must reserve yours by sending us an email at email@example.com.
