It all started on April 10, when LWA first took time to conduct a Way of the Master training for anyone interested to share the Gospel biblically this summer, the way Jesus did, at its ministry office. In attendance were young people, pastors and workers and new Christians who understood how blessed they are that they've already received forgiveness of sins and the promised eternal life in Heaven.
By April 17, the LWA team was on their way to San Ildefonso and San Miguel (Bulacan), and Cabanatuan at the province of Nueva Ecija for 2 days of street evangelism. Joining them in San Ildefonso was a Christian family living in the area who also cares about the people in their town. Thousands received Gospel tracts and several heard God's message of salvation shared to them by the LWA team.
May 1 is Labor Day and we expected people to be out as that is a regular holiday and there will be several going to jobs fairs during the day. The team had their presence felt at the SM City San Fernando, Pampanga that day. Thousands were at the mall waiting to be allowed entrance for the jobs fair happening that day at this famous mall. While waiting outside, we gave out Gospel tracts for them to read and conversed to several job hunters.
Then on May 6, we went to two of the most prestigious universities in the country to distribute tracts. In the morning of that day, we were at the University of Santo Tomas (UST). Our time at this Catholic university was so eventful. Female team members were asked to leave the campus and just distribute Gospel tracts outside which they readily obeyed, while two male team members were detained and questioned for several minutes at the university's security office. But that turned out to be a blessing in disguise. The male team members were able to share the Gospel to the people of the security office during the questioning and were able to give out tracts to everyone there. We were eventually asked to leave the campus after an hour of evangelism there.
That's when we moved to the University of the Philippines, Diliman campus, for our afternoon evangelism. We did not encounter any problem there unlike in our time at UST. We were able to go around the campus freely to converse with people and give out Gospel tracts.
We are overjoyed by the success of our Summer Outreaches for this year. We thank everyone that supported and prayed for these activities. But we're not done yet. We're looking forward to several evangelism activities we've lined up for this year, the biggest of which is our mission trip we call "Gospel Buzz" happening every last week of October. We'll give you details about that later. For now, join us in thanking our Lord for the things He has allowed to be accomplished this summer.
