Bohol is one of the most popular provinces in the country. Here, you will be awed by the famous Chocolate Hills of Bohol. It is also here that the very adorable tarsier monkeys abound. No wonder this place attracts a lot of tourists yearly.
In October 2013, this province was hit by a 7.2 magnitude earthquake. Lots of lives were taken by the event when buildings collapsed during the quake. But it was a sad picture to see that instead of the people drawing close to the Saviour in response to the disaster, they instead further clung to their sin of idolatry. They saw it a miracle that a graven image of Mary in a church tower survived the strong movement of the ground even if the church building itself was destroyed.
This is the reason why we've set our sights on Bohol for this year's evangelistic mission trip. Like the people from other provinces in the Philippines, the Boholanos need to hear the true Gospel. Their religiosity has blinded them to the truth so we must deliver the only message that God has ordained to bring freedom from sin. We will be in the streets working with a missionary who is pioneering a church there from October 26-30, declaring the Gospel from morning to evening through tracts, one-to-ones and open-air preaching sessions.
Please pray for this outreach. And if you can, please support this effort financially as we will be spending about Php120,000 for this trip. We can work together in reaching souls for Christ in Bohol. If you desire to send your donation for this event, you can arrange for it by sending us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by sending it via PayPal to this account: email@example.com.
