Last March 13, LWA again facilitated the event. There were lots of food to share with each other; lots of ball games and parlor games; a chance for every student to address the members of the graduating class for the last time before they make their entrance to the world of collegiate education. Everyone enjoyed the games that LWA prepared, bringing their adrenaline level to the point where sleeping was not a need anymore.
After all the games were finished and the sharing time was over, the group converged to hear Dennis Mark Aglosolos deliver the Gospel. Dennis asked the question, "What is the most important thing for you in life?" Everyone had their answer from education, future career to family and life experiences. But then, Dennis gave a twist to his original question... "What will be the most important thing for you if you have only five minutes to live?" Everyone acknowledged that if that was the case, then their answer will change. Dennis then asked, "Do you think where you will go after your last breath will be your most significant concern five minutes before you die?" Everyone answered in the affirmative. It was at that time that it was explained that because of our sins, we cannot have Heaven as our eternal home and that Hell is more fitting for everyone. But because of God's grace, Jesus died on the cross so that a payment for our sins can be made available for everyone. It was emphasized that if we respond to God's grace with humble repentance and faith, an eternal life in Heaven will be given to us together with forgiveness for all of the sins we have committed against God.
Please pray for these young people. The collegiate world has a lot in it that could draw a person's attention away from God. May the seed of the Gospel that was planted in the hearts of these students be used by God to someday bring them to a saving knowledge of Him.
