What do you do when you're given lots of food, more than you and your family can handle? Of course, share them. But what do you do when you're given food, more than you and your family can handle, and you're a Christian? If that's the case, use it to get people to listen to you preach the Gospel.
That's exactly what Living Waters Asia did last month. With free canned goods from the makers of Argentina Corned Beef and Century Tuna through the efforts of Mrs. Lumen Aglosolos, LWA utilized what it had to encourage people to hear the Gospel message. Feeding programs were done by LWA with partnerships with Children For Christ Ministries (CFCM) and Mustard Seed Christian Baptist Church (MSCBC). First, LWA shared the goods to the residents of the provincial juvenile jail of Bulacan via a Christmas party (see related story). Another Christmas party was held by LWA at its Student Center, Dec. 20, where the frequent visitors of the center were the ones that enjoyed the food LWA prepared.
Last Dec. 7, LWA partnered with its evangelism arm for children, CFCM, for a feeding program at Catacte Elem. School where more than a hundred pupils were present (read related story). Last Dec. 29, it was MSCBC that LWA partnered with and the result was a time with families of Liciada, Bustos, Bulacan.
In all of these events, the Gospel was delivered before food was given. LWA is looking forward for more events like these. We pray that we'll get more supplies of canned goods so we can continue to anchor events on feeding programs.
