The LWA team made their presence felt at Laoag City, Sto. Domingo and the U.N. Heritage site, Vigan. Over 16,000 Gospel tracts were distributed by the team in the days that they were in the region. Add to that the hundreds that heard the Gospel shared to them via open-air preaching and one-to-ones. Thousands of locals and tourists were in Vigan, and so, we made sure that we got to them with the Gospel. God allowed that we be permitted to preach inside the meat section of the Vigan public market where hundreds heard the Good News. At Laoag City, the team braved the heat of the sun to be able to distribute 4,400+ Gospel tracts.
At the municipality of Sto. Domingo, God arranged something for us. Upon alighting our bus, one of the team members managed to give a tract to a guy who was about to attend a seminar for drug addicts who have surrendered to local authorities. After reading the tract, he realized that his co-attendees would benefit greatly from the message we are trying to share in that town, and so, he led us to policemen who were conducting the seminar. The authorities told us that groups like us are what they need. They willingly gave the floor to us, allowing us to share the Gospel to more than 50 people desiring to turn their lives for the better.
On our last full day of evangelism, we were giving out what remained of the 16,000+ tracts we brought with us at Baluarte, one of many tourist attractions in Vigan. A pastor received a tract from us and he right away introduced himself and inquired about our group. He told us that they were having revival meetings in their church where Christians from other churches are attending. He invited us to grace their event that evening. LWA's director emphasized to the attendees that "no revival will take place without the preaching of the biblical Gospel." With that, they voiced their desire that we come back next year to train Christians there on how to share the Gospel effectively and biblically, the way Jesus did.
We, again, experienced God's presence in the ministry with GOSPEL BUZZ 2016. We know that our labor is not in vain in the Lord. Thanks to everyone that prayed and supported our mission trip. We hope and pray that you will continue partnering with us. And please, continue praying for the people that we shared the Gospel to at the Ilocos region.
