God, just like several times in the past, has blessed the efforts of Living Waters Asia in delivering the biblical Gospel to people. LWA's special free screening of the movie COURAGEOUS from Sherwood Baptist Church at SM Baliuag mall last Feb. 11, 2012 was such a big success. Hundreds trooped to the venue to watch this very timely movie about fathers taking seriously their roles of guiding their families towards a God-glorifying life. The movie likewise has a very clear and powerful Gospel message. Free tickets for the event were all gone within three weeks of release. Many people called and visited the LWA office asking for tickets but to no avail. During the event, LWA still accommodated walk-ins that got curious about the long line of people in the cinema we rented. There were even those who had bought tickets for another movie in the mall that decided to watch Courageous instead after seeing how excited people in our line were. After each of the two screenings LWA did during that day, Dennis Mark Y. Aglosolos preached the biblical Gospel to the crowd. Gospel tracts were also given to everyone as they exited the theater. We wanted to make sure that everyone had a big dose of the Gospel as we understand that "faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17). Due to strong public demand, LWA will again be screening COURAGEOUS this Feb. 19, 5 pm at Mustard Seed Christian Baptist Church at San Pedro, Bustos, Bulacan. To know how you can get to the venue, send us an email at info@livingwaters-asia.com. Thanks to everyone who prayed for this event. We felt how the Lord answered all your prayers during the event. May God allow us to do more of these free screenings in the coming months. To view pictures about the event, click this link. To see what attendees had to say about the event, watch the video below: Add Comment You've read above about Living Waters Asia's COURAGEOUS Philippine Free Screening last Feb. 11, 2012 at SM Baliuag mall. The movie already has a scene where the Gospel is explained. But we understand that "faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17), that's why we still delivered another Gospel presentation after the movie (we also gave a Gospel tract for each attendee). Watch this Gospel presentation delivered by Dennis Mark Y. Aglosolos after the 2nd screening of Courageous during the event. We praise God for giving us new partners in teaching the biblical Gospel to children. Last January 14 and 17, CFCM trained Christians from Paligue Bible Baptist Church (Candaba, Pampanga), San Roque Christian Church and Ilog A Metong Christian Church ( San Luis, Pampanga). Every Friday, sixteen volunteer teachers from these churches are actively teaching the Children’s Values Formation Classes ( CVFC) in Talang and Paligue Elementary School. The Bible Study for teachers handled by Sis Arleen Valdez in Paligue Elem school is now handled by PBBC’s pastor, none other than Pastor Rommel Castro. We are praying that the Lord also opens the door for Bible study for teachers in Talang Elem school as pastor Abnel Santiago of San Roque Christian Church hopes that we get the approval of the school head. Thanks to all who keep CFCM in their prayers! Glory to God! New Year's Day evangelism 01/12/2012
![]() Open-air preaching at Luneta Park, Manila If you're a fisherman and you learned that fishes have converged in a particular area of a river, what will you do? Any wise person, fisherman or not, knows that it's time to do some fishing! That's exactly what Living Waters Asia did. Every first evening of a new year, thousands of Filipinos spend the night at Luneta Park in Manila to welcome the new year. The evening of January 1, 2012 was no different. For the second time, LWA brought a team to take the opportunity to fish for souls. We started our evangelism at around 9:45 p.m. The Gospel tracts we brought did not last long. It's a good thing we had the energy to do Gospel presentations considering that most of us were also lacking sleep after our respective celebration of the New Year with our families the night before. We also had the chance to preach in the open-air that evening to hundreds of people. After our evangelism, each one of us were exhausted but very much joy-filled. We got to our respective homes early morning of January 2. We are so thankful for God's protection all throughout that evening. ![]() At the famed UP oblation statue When Living Waters Asia celebrates any special day, we keep it simple and we try not to forget why we exist as a ministry. We know that God formed LWA for the purpose of sharing the biblical Gospel message. That's why when we had our Christmas get-together, we again decided to do it in the manner we enjoy the most... sharing the Gospel. Last December 17, 2011, before we went to the venue of our get-together, we spent the morning at the University of the Philippines at Diliman, Quezon City. We went around giving out Gospel tracts to people. We circled the whole university to make sure that students and employees who are yet to be in their Christmas vacation got to read the real reason why we celebrate this season. People were in the holiday mood when we offered them the tracts as very few turned them down. Our time at UP was so enjoyable as we understood that we were doing God's will there in distributing copies of the Gospel. After UP, we made our way to Tramway restaurant at Banawe Ave, Quezon City. There, we were met by other regular LWA volunteers from Manila. It was a time of fellowship and good food for everyone. We had a great time talking about what God had allowed us to experience in 2011 while engaging ourselves in the work of evangelism. Pictures of the get-together show the joy God has placed in our hearts. It was great reminiscing God's faithfulness to LWA in 2011! 2011 was a fruitful year for LWA. We really felt that God was with us in every step of our way. We was the One who provided, guided and protected us in every activity we had with the purpose of glorifying Him. We have no doubt that He will also again be with us in 2012. We hope and pray that you'll consider joining us this year as we again work to win Asia for Christ. LWA Witnessing Clip for January 2012 01/12/2012
Every first day of a new year, people in thousands gather in the famed Luneta Park in Manila to revel on what they hope will be a promising year for them. LWA, for the second time, took the opportunity to share the Gospel to people in the park. A team of ten LWA volunteers distributed Gospel tracts, did one-to-one witnessing and open-air preaching. Watch the open-air preaching we did there below. Sorry for the poosound quality. Our portable microphone broke in the middle of the message: It all began with the “Monday Group” since we had our meetings and fellowships on Mondays…Sowing the seeds of salvation to the hearts of children was then the main focus of the group, until the Lord placed in our hearts that everything should be done decently and in order (I Corinthians 14:40). It was January 2007 when CFCM was formally organized as a group and later on, affiliated to Living Waters-Asia as its arm in Children’s evangelism. Five wonderful and fruitful years has passed and the mission is still the same… bringing lost children to Christ and channeling them to the nearest Bible-believing local churches so they could continue to grow in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Lord has been faithful ever since we started. He is the Author of this great work and we hold on to His promise that “He Who began a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1:6} Our first committee meeting for the year 2012 was January 3 at Waterwood Park Baliuag, Bulacan. The CFCM committee holds a monthly meeting to do the planning, organizing and praying for the ministry. This is where we get the power and strength to gladly keep on carrying the task that is placed on our shoulders. This is the time when we have fellowship, preaching of the Word of God and giving of financial gifts to be used in the operational expenses for God’s work. Please continue to pray for CFCM as the Lord has shown us greater heights to achieve this year 2012.To God be the glory! If you want to give your support to CFCM through Living Waters Asia, contact us at support@livingwaters-asia.com, and please specify that the support you will be giving is for CFCM by making your email subject: Giving to CFCM. We will be very happy to directly give them 100% of what you intend to send them so you can be their valuable partner in reaching Filipino children for Christ. _ ![]() Dennis Mark Aglosolos w/ LWA volunteers in the annual Christmas party Last December 12, 2011, LWA held their yearly Christmas party for the young inmates of Tanglaw Pag-asa (Light of Hope - a juvenile jail). There are currently about 97 male teenagers detained in this correctional facility. Dennis Mark Y. Aglosolos conducts a Bible study session here every Monday for the last 5 years. Due to the slow justice system in the Philippines, there are even several detainees who are waiting for their cases to be tried in court that have been in this facility since LWA started coming here 5 years ago, The weekly study of God's Word has really been a breath of fresh air for these youngsters in their loneliness away from their families. In the said event, LWA prepared games and food for everyone in the facility. The detainees, on their part, prepared special numbers. One number was a rap performance with lyrics that talk about their admission of their offense of God's Laws and their desire to get right with God once and for all. Dennis delivered the Christmas message towards the end of the event. We were filled with joy as we saw smiles from our friends at this facility for the great time they had during the Christmas party. Before the LWA team left, one of the detainees gave Dennis the letter below written by one of their leaders in behalf of everyone in this juvenile facility. This moves us to continue helping these young people know Christ more in their lives. Read the English translation of the letter below: Dear Pastor Dennis, A blessed day to you! We made this letter to say "thanks" for your tireless efforts in sharing to us the Good News from God's Word. We really appreciate your perseverance in coming here weekly, but most of all, for your determination to draw us closer to the Father. We thank the Lord for His continued use of people like you so that He can make us know that He also loves people like us. Through our Bible study, we really saw how our reactions to problems with money, family and in ourselves have led us to sin against God, But despite that, God was so patient in waiting for us to get right with Him. God is really so kind. He really is great and powerful. As I know God more in my life, I've experienced a different kind of joy, a new kind of living with Him. At first, as I was drawing closer to Him, I thought that all my problems will go away. I later learned that that will not be the case as He gave me more trials in life. I previously judged those trials as God's way of making life more difficult for me. But as time passed, I realized that was not really His purpose. Those trials were actually given to make us trust Him more. I've learned that there is victory in trusting Him. In the process, I've proven the truthfulness of His promises in verses like 1 Corinthians 10:13, Hebrews 13:5 and Jeremiah 29:11. It is my prayer that our weekly time together will continue so that hope will continue to flow to some of our co-detainees that are already losing hope. I know that God will continue to be faithful to us. We would like to also apologize for some of our co-detainees who do not give attention to our Bible study. We just leave their behaviors in the hands of God. We know that saying "Thanks" to you will not be enough to pay for your efforts in teaching us God's Word. May the Lord be the One to reward you for all of your efforts. Again, thank you so much! May you have a merry Christmas and a happy new year! Sincerely Cris and the boys of Tanglaw Pag-asa LWA Christmas 2011 Witnessing Clip 12/12/2011
The Christmas season is a great time to share the Gospel to people as most are in the mood to be jolly and nice. Very few people will deny you a conversation especially if the topic you bring on to the table for a chit-chat is Christmas itself. Watch this video where Dennis Mark Y. Aglosolos anchors his Gospel presentation from the question, "What does Christmas mean to you?" ![]() CFCM Committee members and volunteer teachers _ We thank the Lord for the very enjoyable and very meaningful joint outing of the CFCM committee members, volunteer teachers and Miss Lina Seastres from One Hope Philippines, at 100 Islands, Alaminos City last Dec 8,20011. Since we don’t pay the volunteer teachers, we seek to give them a special treat every December. Last year, we had a Christmas Program at a resort in Baliuag where everybody enjoyed the food, swimming, games, gift giving and most of all, the fellowship. This is our way of encouraging them to keep serving the Lord and to meet fellow volunteers in different areas. This year, we brought them to 100 Islands so that they could appreciate God’s amazing creation. ![]() Tracts distribution before the island-hopping activity _ The highlights of this event were the tracts distribution in the marketplace, the testimony time and the island-hopping and swimming activities. One of our committee members, Nanay Lina Vinuya- an elderly member, had a very frightful yet very blessed experience when she tried to give a man a gospel tract. The man tore it and spat on it and said he didn’t need such literature. Nanay Lina was then very shocked and frightened at first, until she was comforted by God’s words in Matthew 5:11 “Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.” She said she is very happy in the Lord that she experienced such a thing. She understood that she was not the one rejected by that man. It was the Lord Jesus Christ that he rejected. To all of you had a part in this event (financially, moral support and prayers) we would like to extend our deepest appreciation.
